I remember my mother stitching it she did a huge amount of the dress bottom on a peice too small to finish at all so had to restart and I don't think it ever got finished. This was when my mother then beat into my head start from the middle lol. I'd say finish it if you know there's room just and add a bit fabric some how for framing maybe so it's hidden behind a mount. Good luckXXXStitching (Emma)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10246410323906196210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824085130119053224.post-49587578309781009942011-11-11T00:33:25.790-08:002011-11-11T00:33:25.790-08:00only three stitches left? It will be fiddly to make it just right, but if you would make a passe partout (sorry, do not know the English word) you could stitch the gold border onto that, cut out the middle, leaving enough linen to fold under a thin carton bordersurround and it would look like it was always meant to be that way, so from outside in you would have: the frame, the darker linen surround with the gold and then the lighter surround with the angel. You exchange the carton surround for the linen surround, leaving enough space (count the threads you will have to not embroider on the pattern and the put together linen) between the stitched head and the stitched border as if it was one piece of linen. Fiddly and you will have to make sure the 3 stitches worth of linen will not creep out of under the borderlinen, but it is worth considering.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824085130119053224.post-5731373233948592072011-11-10T17:48:02.560-08:002011-11-10T17:48:02.560-08:00I think you should leave off the gold frame which ...I think you should leave off the gold frame which would give you some extra fabric for framing, it's beautiful and you have done some outstanding stitching on it.Minniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09030452992987907889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824085130119053224.post-18909213951646223912011-11-10T16:35:10.440-08:002011-11-10T16:35:10.440-08:00irishcream06: Here's how I got the progress ba...irishcream06: Here's how I got the progress bars...
1) Go to http://www.critiquecircle.com/wordmeterbuilder.asp and follow the instructions
2) In design mode....Add a gadget
3) Choose HTML/Javascript
4) Enter a title
5) Copy and paste the code from step 1 into the content

Change the "current" and "goal" numbers to update your progress

Hope that helps
ChrisChris McGuirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18359601788712352052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824085130119053224.post-51340045880194969462011-11-10T15:56:20.271-08:002011-11-10T15:56:20.271-08:00Oh Chris.... :( What a dilemma. In which case, you might be able to drop the border 1/2 and inch so it looks more like a halo around her. You'd probably have to adjust the flowers too.... but that will allow you some space to stitch muslin to the top of the fabbie.

Also, you might want to check out Gio's tutorial on joining 2 pieces of linen: http://gio162.wordpress.com/2010/03/12/how-i-join-linen/Joyszehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03428456408840860137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824085130119053224.post-62775158546638295702011-11-10T14:47:25.768-08:002011-11-10T14:47:25.768-08:00It would be such a shame to have to restart, after ...It would be such a shame to have to restart, after all that you have done so far. What if you got a matt border that went 3 stitches all round the Angel, instead of just having all the fabric showing when framed,(hope that makes sense). It's a hard call, hope it works out, what ever you do.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03283377027399811756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824085130119053224.post-59530104632572521032011-11-10T14:42:43.528-08:002011-11-10T14:42:43.528-08:00I don't think I could unpick that amount of wo...I don't think I could unpick that amount of work... It would be awful to have to start that over! I am not sure what I would do. sometimes you can sew on extra fabric, but I wouldn't know how to do that, but I have heard of people doing that. Hopefully you can fix it.

Or have you thought of leaving the gold border off her? When I stitched her, I left the border off. That would save you an inch or so by the looks of it.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02561131232084239379noreply@blogger.com
