New Project at Last!

Since I am new to cross stitching, I did not know that it is not cool to have only one project going at a time. Almost unheard of! That's men for you...can't multi-task.

I did start Folk-Art Angels from Joan Elliott today. I am going to make these into Christmas cards for family. No progress picture yet but here is the finished design....

I am going to explore using silk floss for the wings.

Now I just need to start 21 other projects and I will be more of a "normal" cross stitcher :-)

Happy Stitching!!

LOL! You need to have just as many WIPs as you are comfortable with! I think it also matters how quick you get bored with your pattern. Right now I have three BAPs, all Chats, one Mira that has been sitting for months, and a couple of little chats that have been sitting. Course I have another few big ones coming that I may have to start, lol.

Your stitching on the Guardian is beautiful and can't wait to see your start pics of the Folk-Art angels.

Thank you Lissanne. I know what a BAP is but what is a Chat?

Thanks for the comment on my stitches. I was a total novice when I started it and the early stitches (especially the back) really show that. There is nothing quite like a row of pretty little stitches :-)

I am going to start Summer Fairy and Buddha from Joan Elliott soon. That should fill up my BAP plate for now.

Happy Stitching

Hi Chris, I agree with Lissanne, I think half the reason you (or I) start something new is because I'm bored with the old one. I'm a slow stitcher too, so they're nver finished fast enough. Then I wonder why I have so many unfinished! lol. Your angel looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on the Joan Elliott piece.

LOL, Chris, as hard as it may be to believe, NOT everyone has a bazillion WIPs and UFOs hanging around. There really are many OAATers (One At A Time'ers) our there.

I have some very dear stitchy friends who cannot believe that I can have several things on the go at once :)

... there's nothing like the excitement of starting a new piece though - unless it's the feeling of putting in that final stitch ready for a Happy Dance :D

I agree. I do like having several projects to work on so I don't get bored with one.
