I am way overdue for a progress update. I also know that all my followers support me so much with words of encouragement. So here goes
As part of Theme-a-licious March Madness I started...
Father Christmas - Joan Elliott. I chose this fabric color because it reflects a kinda/sort of winterish sky. I wanted something darker but this was the best I could find locally..
The Gardener - Joan Elliott.
This fabric is really baby blue with clouds and it seemed like a better choice than cream colored fabric. I am not sure how it will look.
I also started Eastern Promise by Joan Elliott...
I chose red Aida for this project instead of white because it just seemed like the right think to do. I was torn because red is more strongly associated with Chinese art. But I also did a little research and found that in Japanese culture, red has a strong association with the sun and red and white together are associated with auspicious or happy occasions. So I went ahead and used it. We shall see if it really works when it's done.
Other Updates:
Swirling Peacock
Summer Fairy...
That's all for now.
Happy Stitching!!!

These all look incredible, Chris. Well...actually the first two look like red swoops but who's sayin'? My favorite has to be the peacock. I kinda have a little "thing" for peacocks! Awesome WIPs all around!
Daffycat,
Actually one is a swoosh and one is a swoop. :-)
Chris
I love the red fabric you chose for Eastern Promise! Summer Fairy looks great. I love the peacock! You have two good starts on the other ones. Happy Stitching!
